If you thought Calypso Rose was taking it easy following her Coachella performance, think again.
The calypso icon has just released a remix music video for her hit. ‘Young Boy’, produced by none other than Walshy Fire.
The music video, which exclusively premiered on The FADER, is naturally set amid the revelry and jamishness of Carnival.
The production comes days after Walshy Fire surprised Calypso Rose with the news that he was planning to do a remix.
Rose recently made history as the oldest artist to perform at Coachella as well as the first Trinbagonian to hit the stage.
“[It] was a fantastic experience for me and my band. To see all these young people gyrating and dancing on my music gave me so much energy,” she told The FADER. “Machel and Walshy on stage set the place on fire!”
The Walshy Fire remix is one of three remixes that Calypso Rose has put out as a part of her Young Boy (Remixes) EP.
Rose is currently on a world tour that will end upon her return to Trinidad in August where she’s set to perform at CARIFESTA.
