Machel Montano and Iwer George seem to have left their grudge in 2019 as they’ve teamed up to drop a new track together, Conch Shell.
The song, which also features Skinny Fabulous was released on Wednesday night.
The 2019 Carnival season saw an intense rivalry between the Monk and Water Lord after Iwer claiming through song that Machel’s successes–ranging from his music in constant rotation on radio stations to his multiple Road March wins–to his ties with the “soca mafia”.
The claim led to several soca diss tracks between the two that left fans convinced that it was all a publicity stunt yet still wanted more.
There doesn’t seem to be any love lost this year and with this new track, especially on Iwer’s side, who seems ready to leave the drama in the past:
“I iz the boss
Leave all the fussing and fighting
In the past

And make up
In the mas”
