If you happened to be at London Comic Con this past weekend, we’re sure the last person you’d expect to see is a Trinbagonian soca artist hit the stage.
If you were at London Comic Con this weekend, you would have gotten quite the surprise.
Soca star Sekon Sta graced the stage at the O2 Arena in London during the annual convention. Dubbed as “the UK’s biggest modern pop culture events”, the convention usually sees a number of attractions including celebrity panels, Iron Throne, International Cosplay, MCM Theatre, car exhibitions and MCM Comic Carnaval. This year’s guest stars included cast members from NCIS: Los Angeles, Firefly, and Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles.
In the midst of all that, Sekon Sta took to the stage on Saturday where he performed several of his hit songs including his most recent Carnival offering Kings and Queens, as well as The Best and Life Is Great. The massive crowd ate up his performance, something that seems to have surprised even Sekon Sta himself. He posted to his Instagram:
Yesterday I realised the results of my hard work…. #mcmcomicconlondon was an amazing experience. #london #Wowwwwww #Thankyou
