Glow Up with Tricia Blaise-Fergus

We all want flawless skin.

However, in a time when there’s a new beauty product or skincare regimen marketed to us almost every other day, it may be difficult to know where to begin, what to buy or if it works.

Glow Up with…” is a new series where we get skincare tips, tricks and product recommendations from some of Trinidad and Tobago’s top MUAs.

Tricia Blaise-Fergus, affectionately known as Blaise is the founder and head of Face by Blaise, and she shares with us her own skincare routine as well as her go-to products.

Blaise’s top skincare tip

“Many women have large pores which are a result of an overproduction of sebum (oil from sebaceous) glands, most present those with oily skin,” says Tricia. “What follows is a reduction in skin elasticity which comes with age due to increased rigidity of the skin. So to reduce the look of increased pores one needs to keep the skin supple, keep the pores unclogged and reduce the amount of sebum.”

Her solution? Double cleanse!

“Start with Simple Moisturizing Face Wash to remove water-based dirt and then with an oil-based dirt remover such as Garnier Micellar Water. I love using serums because they have a large water base which means that they’re able to dissolve a lot more active ingredients into the skin but they are more expensive than your usual creams due to its effectiveness.”

Blaise’s Skincare Routine

Due to my dry acne and thick uneven skin, I have recently changed my routine to include the following.
